Summer Holiday Fun at Loch Lomond Shores
Final preparations for summer are well underway at Loch Lomond Shores, Balloch.
The 5 Star visitor and retail attraction has a number of free fantastic activities planned for all ages.
The amazing Professor Murray the Magician will be back to astound the crowds on Sunday 2 July, while Animal Man sets up his mini zoo to amaze visitors on two dates.
The Drakes of Hazard will be back, as well as arts and crafts for kids and a range of well-known mascots over the season to meet and greet younger visitors.
On Friday 14 July and Thursday 20 July, The Regal Storytellers will be regaling us with wonderful free storytelling sessions. Local duo Sarah Crome and Paul Hunter team up once again as King Robert the Bruce and Queen Elizabeth de Burgh to entertain and educate as they have done so many times since they began in 2014.
Thursday 27 July sees the return of Bricks 4 Kidz at Loch Lomond Shores. Bricks 4 Kidz is a fun activity for kids to build and design models with LEGO and play games. While it definitely offers fun, the activity also provides an imaginative way for children to learn mathematics, physics and engineering. This free event is a fantastic way for kids to enjoy a day out.
Don’t forget all the regular attractions which are also geared up for summer: Treezone Aerial adventure, SEALIFE Aquarium, Wee Heilan Man Minigolf, Lomond Pirates soft play , In Your Element outdoor activities and Loch Lomond Bird of Prey Centre offer fun-filled days throughout the holidays.
With plenty of free parking and within easy reach by train from Glasgow city centre, Loch Lomond Shores is open 7 days a week and also has a popular Sunday food and crafts market on the first and third Sunday of every month.
Clare Gemmell, General Manager of Loch Lomond Shores, said: “There are so many things to do at Loch Lomond shores, and so much that is free, that we really hope that we can offer a fun filled way to spend the summer holidays here.”
