Get Involved with Scottish Food Fortnight 2016
Scottish Food & Drink Fortnight is the annual, nationwide celebration of Scotland's outstanding quality larder, held from 3rd-18th September 2016. Festivities will take place across the country to support and promote Scotland’s produce and the people who grow, make, cook and sell it.
A central message running through Scottish Food & Drink Fortnight is the importance of farmers and fishermen to the food and drink industry. They are the backbone of the sector, growing, rearing, harvesting and catching top quality raw ingredients for suppliers to produce their wares; delivered to chefs to create beautiful dishes and to consumers to enjoy the finished product. They truly make Scotland a Land of Food and Drink.
Previous Fortnight participants include producers, farmers, fishermen, retailers, restaurants, cafés, bars, festivals, farmers' markets, food groups, foodservice operators and visitor attractions so we are asking you to join us during the Fortnight to celebrate your role in the success of the Scottish food and drink industry.
