A charming former hunting lodge situated within the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park. Set in 9 acres, with gardens, orchard, woodland and river, Gallangad Lodge is a real haven for wildlife and ideal for those who want a beautiful peaceful location with a welcoming and friendly atmosphere.

Our guests can enjoy a choice of two bedrooms; sun room; and large residents lounge with picture window overlooking the gardens below. Set in stunning surroundings, guests can stroll through the garden, soak up nature or try some croquet or badminton.  The perfect place to retreat to and enjoy the Scottish Highlands.

At the south end of Loch Lomond, the property is set close to the villages of Balloch, Gartocharn and Drymen, and is a tranquil place to relax and enjoy the fine views of the Highlands.

Newly decorated, guests have a choice of two bedrooms. From April 2017 our double room will have ensuite facilities whilst our king-size bedroom has sole use of the shower room adjacent to it. Alternatively, you can book out the whole guest wing to sleep maximum of six people. Both rooms have tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer and storage whilst the sunroom is equipped with fridge, microwave and crockery for guest catering. The spacious lounge with picture window looks over the balustrade to the orchard, woodland and river below and is a great place to watch wildlife from or relax and read or play a boardgame from a selection of books and games provided.  The lounge has a satellite TV and hifi and wifi is provided free of charge.

A continental breakfast is included or there is an option for a superb full Scottish breakfast at an additional charge of £6 per person per breakfast. Our free range chickens not only provide a relaxed ambience but also provide delicious fresh eggs and we are proud to offer you options on our breakfast cooked with local Scottish ingredients.

Extra Information

The stunning Loch Lomond and National Park offers visitors a plethora of gorgeous scenery, outdoor activities and wildlife and we have lots of lovely walks on our doorstep which we can recommend.

We run Four Seasons Campers, a campervan hire company, and we often get asked to recommend itineraries based on our extensive travels all over Scotland.

We are 13 miles from the start of the new John Muir Way, so the perfect place to spend the night after the first/last leg of your walk.  Country pubs and restaurants abound and visitors can take a cycle around the loch or take a boat around the islands or even book a trip onf the seaplane!

"Lovely one night stay at Liz and Ivan's.  They gave us lots of tips and suggestions both before and during our stay which we used to explore Loch Lomond - including our favourite, walking up Conic hill.  The room as clean, the kings size bed a complete luxury, and it was great to have use of a lounge and fridge too  Great breakfast to send us on our way.  Would highly recommend".  Lyndsey
