This beautiful highland lodge has stunning views and unique fairytale features on the shores of Loch Goil in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park and the Argyll Forest Park.

The large family room has a large pool table, comfy sofas for everyone to gather,  Sky satellite TV, DVD, Wii and an Ipod Dock.  There is free wi-fi for guest use throughout the house.

The drawing room has loch views, large sofas and a log burner, perfect for cosy evenings.  The dining room overlooks the loch and offers the ideal place for casual or formal dining

Also on the groundfloor is a bedroom with a king sized four poster with a shower room opposite.  The galley kitchen includes an induction hob, large dishwasher, two fridges and a freezer.

Upstairs are four further bedrooms, three with wonderful loch and mountain views and the fourth with mountain views.  There are two double rooms, a twin and single.  There is an option to have a child bed in the twin room to create a family room and a cot and high chair are available. 

Outside the guests have plenty of space to enjoy the amazing peace and tranquility that Loch Goil offers.  The side garden with decking and picnic tables  is perfect for a BBQ.  The lodge has a lochside lawn from where you can spot seals, porpoises and an array of sea birds.  Loch Goil has its own seal colony and a is a haven for wildlife such as red squirrels, pine martens and even golden eagles.

Extra Information

Carrick Castle is a small hamlet on the shores of Loch Goil, considered to be the hidden jewel in the national park.  Carrick Castle itself is an iconic feature on the loch and was once visited by Mary, Queen of Scots.


Within the glen you will find a small supermarket, post office and village store, inns and restaurants.  There is a leisure park with an indoor swimming pool, gym & jacuzzi, indoor bowls, min-golf and children's indoor play area.  There is a 9 hole golf course overlooking the loch.


The area is perfect for walkers and there are a number of walks you can take straight from the house which cover all abilities.  From a gentle stroll to the castle, a four mile walk along the loch, or off into the hills.  Fishing boat & tackle hire is available just up the road.  Bicycle hire is also available in the glen.
